Hi! Today I have published a new bracelet tutorial video called “DIY Waterproof Beaded Square Knot Bracelets.” This video is long overdue! I’m currently ending my first year as a Ph.D. student, and I’ve recently overcome the very daunting “qualifying exams” portion of my program. The process of reading over 100 scientific papers, writing exams, and completing an oral defence of my responses had me very stressed for some time. However, I am so grateful for the experience and for how much I have learned! After writing my first draft of my project proposal, I took some “me” time to finish this video I had filmed a while ago. ?

Square knot bracelets are one of my favourite styles to make. I first learned how to tie square knots from an older friend when I was in fifth grade (in between playing “Mall Madness” and listening to her wise advice about what I should expect in my transition to Middle School). While I have demonstrated how to make this bracelet using waxed polyester cord, you can use any string or cord you would like. Just make sure not to use the lighter or candle to seal the ends of any non-waxed cord! I hope you enjoy the tutorial. Please leave a comment below if there are any tutorials that you’d like to see next! ?
I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe!
